LINEGUARD is the most dependable, cost-effective program that our customers can use for detecting and locating leaks in pipelines.
In commercial use for over a decade, this proprietary software application from Colt WorleyParsons raises the industry standard for performance in leak detection technology.
LINEGUARD provides continuous, 24-7 surveillance even during transient conditions such as shutdowns, start ups or valve operations. In ordinary leak detection systems, such conditions tend to cause false alarms forcing operators to constantly adjust or disarm the system. LINEGUARD replaces inconsistent leak detection with reliable, continuous protection that you can depend upon.
LINEGUARD also determines the location of a leak. In one installation, it can detect a 5% leak within 12 minutes and locate the leak to within one kilometer. LINEGUARD™ will help get repair crews to the scene quickly before a leak becomes a major catastrophe.

Model
LINEGUARD is a field-proven, innovative approach to modeling the transient behavior of liquid pipelines and provides an accurate, robust, model-assisted, material-balance leak detection system.
SCADA capability can be added for users that need to do leak detection but do not have a SCADA system
Leak Detection
Pipelines are the safest method for transporting hydrocarbon fluids compared to trucking, rail or marine transportation. Nevertheless, current North American statistics indicate that fluid petroleum pipeline leaks occur at the rate of about one (1) leak per year per thousand miles of line. Unlike leaks that occur in above ground transportation modes such as trucks, rail cars or ocean tankers, pipeline leaks are typically below ground level and are not readily visible.
Simulation
LINEGUARD Simulations is an important tool that allows us to simulate new pipeline topologies, test and debug new LINEGUARD system algorithms, and challenge system communication issues. LINEGUARD Simulations is also an instrumental tool in our customers presentations providing a first look at what LINEGUARD can do.
